FAN TOUR:)
On May 5th 09 the LMP class went on a Fan Tour. We went to 4 different hotels. which was the Hilton Garden, Dismond, Hotel Indigo, and Cocca's. First we stoped at the Hilton Garden but we didnt realy get to see muchl. The next place was the dismond. The type of market they are is airport travelers. Also is a luxury hotel and room rates is about 150 or higher a night. The Hotel Indigo was one the nice four we had stoped at. There market is Busniess travelers. They are also a luxury hotel with rates of 150 or higher an night. The last place we stopped was coccas. This hotel wasnt that nice. The only nicest room was the suites but in one of them the kitchen wasnt that clean. All these hotels have different was of getting guest to stay at there hotel.
HomeWood Suites
On Tuesday we went to the Homewood Suites on Wolf Rd. The chain that it is apart of is the Hilton. The homewood suites is always an extended stay property. They have a Hilton Honors Program. This program is designed for guest who come at many times of the year. They always can get discounts on there rooms. Lewis The Duck is one of the serve at the homewood suites. There is always a children's book about Lewis the Duck for the children to by at the Homewood Suites. The hotel had 133 rooms.

*BELL STAND*
On Friday 10Th,2009 i was at bell stand with Patty and will. the department i was suppose to be was AYS department but the mentor i was going to be with got let go after 15 years. at the bell stand department patty and i had went to the back room where the bags were led for the guest and we had polished the bell carts for will. the polish we had used to clean the bell carts smelled almost like hair dye. bell stand is the one department that means a lot because the guest see bell stand the second the enter the hotel. after patty and i finished the bells cart we had went around the hotel and look for and cots. before we had left the Marriott we had also went to the room service department and help Joel with folding forks, knifes and spoons into napkins to put out for the restaurateur.

ROOM SERVICE
At the Albany Marriott internship i was in the room service department. The mission of this department is to bring all guest orders to them in a timely fashion. The goals of are to help out the company in any way possible. There are many challenge of this department one to dealing with the difficult guest. Also to make sure that none of there order get made wrong and having the guest complain. The experience that would help me do this job is good personal skills. The thing i did most today was stocked self's and the cooler. The sever Basic of the day was stay fixable.
Laundry Deparment
On January 20Th i was put into the laundry department. the first thing i got done was sorting towels and now i can help with every part need to be done. the person i worked with velida. this department is responsible for clean all the sheet, towels and all laundry. when i was sorting the towel there were two step. the first step is sorting by size then second you size by color. Also you had to make sure they went in the right spot so they didn't go to the wrong area of the hotel. also one of the works had patty and i put some of the towels through the machine that folds them. this department takes many responsible to make sure all laundry is finish in time.

Marriott
On Tuesday December 2, when i went to the Marriott i was with Collen. Collen was in the department called AYS. Collen sit and answer the phone all day. Also makes reservation for people. Making sure that every stay is just the way they want it. Many people call form their rooms and tell her if they need something. some of these things are room severs and or something that needs to be fixed with there room. the ays is like one of the main parts of the hotel and most of the calls come to the AYS department .

BELL STAND
On Tuesday October 21, 2008 when i went to the Albany Marriott i was working at the bell stand. they first thing i learn was some of the roles of the bell stand. the bell stand is the first impression of the hotel and also the last. the bell stand tells people where do go and take there bags to people rooms if asked. they also hold the guest bags if they have a meeting to go to and they don't wanna carry it around. When i was at the bell stand we had to go pick up someone form the airport. when we got to the hotel we had went a talk to the people at the fronk desk. the front desk and bell stand do a lot go the same things.
